Georgian PM, Dutch Ambassador discuss prospects of cooperation

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday discussed existing ties and prospects for deepening cooperation between Georgia and the Netherlands with Meline Arakelian, the Dutch Ambassador to Georgia.

The Ambassador noted the “strong position” of the Netherlands on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia, as well as the country’s integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures, the Government Administration said.



In his turn, the head of the Government thanked the Netherlands for supporting Georgia in being granted the European Union membership candidate status in December.

The meeting also highlighted trade and economic relations and promotion of tourism between the countries.
